DC Results Finally Posted

After a long wait for the results of the DC Field Experience, scores have finally been updated with awards earned by countries who submitted materials from the day. For Juniors participating in the scavenger hunt, awards were given for individual location clues correctly found, overall clues properly decoded, overall clue riddles solved, and walk-about and bonus clues submitted. All students who submitted photos taken during the trip were given appropriate WID payment for those photos, which will be used by the yearbook staff. WIDs were allocated as evenly as possible across the lowest five MAR types. Here are the results:

The NDL posted a bank trade from early in December today:

Huge Bank Fees Posted Today

Countries dropping below minimum balances during the tower competition were given one week's notice to correct the problem according to WWB policy. Accruing bank fees were assessed today. With no action on the part of any problemed country, each was assessed penalties based on their holdings for the past 8 days (10%/day assessed in the highest MAR holding). Here is the damage report:

L.E.G.S.: -32 Tech and -3 Food (Insufficient Funds - House, Mil. Ind. Energy)
Shangrila: -77 Food (Insufficient Funds- Mil.)

Countries should seize the opportunities to make trades with other countries or the bank as soon as possible to avoid further bank fees.
